A 128GB storage specification does not mean all of that space is available for work records. Plan storage using the applications, maps and files the team actually keeps on the device.
Build a storage budget
Install the intended applications and offline map area on a sample. Record available storage after setup. Add representative reports, photographs and attachments, then measure the change. Use those measured examples to estimate the volume between normal synchronization and cleanup.
Test the maintenance routine
Confirm that uploaded records can be removed according to the application's instructions and the organization's retention rules. Check what remains locally after synchronization. Define how staff recognize low storage and who handles cleanup. Do not assume deleting a visible record removes every cached file.
Verify the selected configuration
The current X5 T615 version includes a 6GB/128GB option; other X5 variants are listed at 64GB. Identify the required storage variant in the order. Assess usable space on that actual sample rather than treating the advertised figure as free capacity. Retain a reserve for application updates and field delays, then validate the budget against a representative period of work.
