A 5G network claim and a waterproof description require different evidence. Procurement should approve both for the offered model without using one as proof of the other.
Verify communication
Request the exact variant's bands and operator requirements. Test normal calling, report uploads and recovery at representative locations using the intended SIM. Record the configuration and observed outcomes.
Verify protection separately
Obtain model-specific ingress documentation, cover requirements and care instructions. Identify the workplace liquids and cleaning process. Do not infer a depth, duration or pressure-cleaning allowance from a broad waterproof phrase.
Avoid combining different models
Current P20 information confirms a 5G product, but the reviewed text alone should not be used to invent an unspecified ingress result. Current X5 describes IP68 and 4G, so it cannot supply the missing 5G feature. Require one coherent configuration supporting all mandatory claims. Keep charging and drying instructions with that device so deployment follows the manufacturer's evidence rather than a combined marketing slogan.
