A push-to-talk requirement should specify the communication system before discussing a 4000mAh battery. Cellular application-based PTT and dedicated radio functions need different supporting configurations.
Identify the PTT system
Name the application or radio service, account requirements, group setup and accessories. Ask the supplier whether the proposed device supports that system. A rugged smartphone with mobile data should not automatically be advertised as a dedicated radio.
Use the operational route
Test joining a group, transmitting, receiving and recovering after leaving coverage. Record location, network and application state with failures. Include headset or external controls where staff need them. Assess ordinary calling separately from PTT behavior.
Measure power in the same workflow
Include the actual listening, transmitting and idle pattern in the battery trial. Current X5 information describes a 5000mAh 4G smartphone, not a documented 4000mAh radio configuration. It can be considered for a supported application-based workflow only after compatibility is established. Require evidence for any dedicated radio proposal. Approve communication reliability and remaining charge as separate outcomes, rather than treating the requested capacity as proof of system support.
