When a tender asks for MIL-STD-810G, request the specific revision, method, procedure and acceptance evidence. A statement naming MIL-STD-810H does not answer every detail of a requirement written around another revision.
Read the report as a defined test
| Report element | Why the reviewer needs it |
|---|---|
| Standard revision and change level | Identify the exact reference used |
| Method and procedure | Identify the environmental exposure evaluated |
| Severity, duration and operating state | Compare the test with the intended application |
| Sample configuration and result | Connect the evidence to the proposed supplied unit |
The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency record for MIL-STD-810 describes environmental tailoring and lists distinct G and H revisions. Use the applicable document and qualified reviewers to assess a project requirement. A standard name by itself does not reveal which tests a supplier performed.
Handle a revision mismatch explicitly
- Give the supplier the exact tender clause and intended environment.
- Request the existing evidence and any differences from that clause.
- Ask the customer's authorized reviewer whether the evidence is acceptable or additional evaluation is required.
- Keep that written decision with the final configuration approval.
The N1 product description includes a manufacturer MIL-STD-810H statement. This guide does not establish MIL-STD-810G compliance, review a full N1 laboratory report or certify that G and H evidence is interchangeable.
Include the evidence request in an OEM/ODM project brief. For water-exposure operating conditions, see the port-cover inspection guide. Contact Phonemax with the exact clause for review.
