A 6.3-inch FHD display is a purchasing requirement, not a specification that can be assigned to any rugged phone. An OEM brief should name the diagonal size, pixel resolution, touch requirements and intended enclosure before asking suppliers for a quotation.

Separate the panel from the finished device

Ask for the active display dimensions as well as the diagonal. Record the exact horizontal and vertical pixel counts instead of accepting FHD as a complete specification. The viewing area, bezel width and protective glass affect whether an application can show forms and maps comfortably. Include the intended orientation and the minimum readable text size in the requirements.

Test the application on the proposed hardware

Give the supplier a representative inspection form with long field labels, an on-screen keyboard and an error message. Check that workers can reach the submit button without hiding required information. Repeat with the selected gloves and with the screen protector installed. Record missed touches and time to complete the form.

Approve one named configuration
