An ODM screen specification should remain traceable from prototype to delivery. For a 6.5-inch FHD rugged phone, a substitute panel can affect layout, touch behavior or accessories even when the product name stays the same.
Define the approved assembly
Identify the panel, active area, pixel counts, protective glass and touch assembly on the approved configuration. Record the sample's hardware revision. State which characteristics are mandatory and which changes the buyer may accept after review.
Agree on the change process
Ask the supplier to notify the buyer before changing the panel or touch assembly. Define the affected tests: application layout, edge touches, outdoor reading and fit with the screen protector. Keep a retained approved sample or a documented reference so delivery inspection has a consistent basis.
Compare existing products honestly
The current X5 has a 5.3-inch display, not a 6.5-inch FHD panel. Its specification can illustrate a compact option but does not validate a proposed ODM design. Request evidence for the actual offered assembly and approve a finished sample. Include configuration identifiers on purchasing documents so production units can be checked against the accepted prototype rather than a generic catalogue description.
