Before deploying a cellular work tablet, decide which uploads and downloads may use mobile data and which should wait for an approved connection. The useful distinction is between urgent job information and deferrable large files, with a visible status for anything waiting.
Write a transfer policy by task
| Transfer | Decision for the app owner |
|---|---|
| Small job acknowledgement | May it use mobile data immediately? |
| Large video attachment | Must the operator approve it, or should it wait? |
| Offline document pack | Which network and deadline should preparation use? |
| Deferred transfer | How will the operator see waiting, failed and completed states? |
Android provides network-state information, including whether a network is metered. That is an application input, not a guarantee about your tariff: confirm billing with the network provider and the actual behavior with the app vendor. Do not equate every Wi-Fi connection with unlimited data.
Evaluate the policy on a sample job
Choose a harmless large attachment, record its size and use the approved mobile-data setup. Observe whether the app sends it, asks permission or queues it. Then use the approved alternate connection and confirm the final server-side attachment. Count waiting items separately from completed ones. Do not perform an uncontrolled transfer on a costly roaming plan.
The N1 listing includes cellular connectivity, Android 16 and 6GB/128GB storage. These facts do not confirm your carrier, tariff or an application's transfer controls. No transfer volume or cost has been measured here.
Pair this policy with download completion checks. Contact Phonemax with the intended country, carrier and software requirements.
