Vehicle Tablet Kits: Track the Device, Mount and Cable Versions

Keep a vehicle tablet's device, mount, power accessory and cable revisions together in one approved kit record. Replacing one component can change the installed setup even when the tablet model name stays the same.

Identify the kit that was actually reviewed

Kit component Reference to retain
Tablet Model, supplied variant, device build and asset reference
Holder and bracket Accessory model, revision and approved mounting arrangement
Power accessory Approved adapter reference and installation instructions
Cable Specified type and routing reference
Vehicle installation Vehicle reference, installer and approval record
Work application Version and relevant configuration reference

Define the spare-part decision

When a component is unavailable, ask the responsible supplier to identify the proposed replacement and the difference. Have the installer or technical owner decide which checks need repeating. A spare that fits physically should not automatically inherit the earlier electrical or operational approval.

Record service changes

Keep the old and new component references, reason for the change, evaluation result and return-to-service decision. This lets support investigate whether an issue began after an accessory or software change. Avoid describing a repaired kit as unchanged when its approved component set has changed.

Confirm what is supplied

The N1 product page asks buyers to confirm vehicle mounts, power accessories and final sales configuration before purchase. It does not establish that a particular complete vehicle kit is included with every order. Compare the T1 separately if general field work is the requirement.

Send Phonemax the required kit references and proposed substitutions. This is a traceability method, not confirmation of accessory availability, universal fit, vehicle approval or an agreed spare-parts supply commitment.
