5-Meter Underwater Photography Phone OEM Requests: Clarify Intended Use

A 5-meter underwater photography request is a specialized use requirement. A rugged phone's ordinary ingress description should not be repurposed as permission for that operation.

Write the photography brief

Define the intended environment, image quality, controls and duration. Ask the supplier whether the finished solution is explicitly intended for the task. If an enclosure or accessory is part of the proposal, require documentation for that assembly and its operating instructions.

Assess images and protection separately

Agree how framing, focus and saved images will be evaluated in an approved test plan. Review the protection evidence for the exact device and accessory configuration. Do not assume that an ingress result establishes useful underwater camera operation or that a camera specification establishes enclosure suitability.

Do not extend X5 beyond its description

X5's current description supports IP68 under specified laboratory conditions and does not describe it as a diving device. It does not confirm 5-meter photography. Obtain an explicitly supported solution before an OEM commitment. Record maintenance, inspection and service requirements with the approved configuration. Keep any claim in the product description within that evidence rather than presenting a keyword request as an existing feature.
