Before approving pre-installed work software, identify who supplies, approves and distributes later application updates. A successful initial installation does not define the continuing relationship between the app publisher, deployment administrator and device supplier.
Record the update responsibilities
| Responsibility | Question for the project |
|---|---|
| Release source | Who supplies the authorized application version? |
| Distribution route | How will the approved update reach the issued devices? |
| Acceptance | Who evaluates the changed critical tasks? |
| Rollout decision | Who authorizes wider deployment? |
| Exception handling | Who owns a failed update or unavailable service? |
| Records | Where is the approved version and decision retained? |
Separate application and device releases
Ask which party maintains the work application and which supplies device software. If a change requires both teams, keep the dependency explicit. Do not promise an app update, device upgrade or rollback merely because a project includes pre-installation.
Confirm the agreed customization scope
Phonemax's OEM/ODM information describes selected software preparation subject to platform and project evaluation. It does not establish maintenance of every third-party application or a universal update schedule.
The T1 lists Gray Android 16 and Green Android 10 sales versions. Those entries identify offered configurations; they do not define the update rights of a custom deployment.
Send Phonemax the software scope and update-responsibility questions. Have the app owner and IT provider approve their roles. This is a handover plan, not a support contract, upgrade commitment or compatibility result.
