If a project uses a tablet front camera for a remote identity check, ask the service provider for its supported-device and image-capture requirements before buying. An 8MP label alone does not establish acceptance by that service, liveness detection or biometric accuracy.
Separate four decisions
| Question | Evidence owner |
|---|---|
| Is this exact device and OS supported? | Identity-service provider |
| What framing and lighting does the service require? | Service documentation and application team |
| How are images collected, stored and removed? | Organization's privacy and security owner |
| What happens when a check fails? | Operational owner and service provider |
Use a provider-approved evaluation
Request a sandbox or approved demonstration workflow. Confirm that the front camera opens, the required framing is possible at the intended working distance and instructions remain readable. Use only authorized participants and data. Record device build, app version, lighting and the service's returned outcome. A single accepted capture is not a measurement of false-acceptance or false-rejection rates.
The T1 page distinguishes Gray 6GB/128GB/Android 16 and Green 8GB/128GB/Android 10. Its Gray detail-image description lists an 8MP front camera, but this does not prove identity-service compatibility or establish the same camera specification for every version. Confirm the selected configuration in writing.
This article reports no identity-check testing or biometric certification. For ordinary remote assistance, see document capture legibility checks as a separate image-quality task. Contact Phonemax with the provider's hardware requirements, without sending personal identity documents.
