Name the approved battery

Store the manufacturer's limits with the charger specification rather than assuming that all batteries sharing a capacity have the same behavior.
Review factory substitutions
Require notice before a battery or battery-management change. Ask the manufacturer how the change affects the declared operating range and what validation is repeated. Keep the approved sample identity and any changed part list with the order.
Plan replacements
