6.3-Inch FHD Rugged Phone Samples: A Receiving Inspection Plan

A supplier sample should be checked before it is handed to field staff. For a 6.3-inch FHD rugged phone, record what was delivered and whether it matches the quotation before evaluating performance.

Identify the sample

Photograph the device label and record its model, hardware revision, firmware and accessories. Compare the stated display diagonal and pixel counts with the supplier's specification. Check whether the sample uses a different memory configuration or enclosure from the proposed production device.

Inspect the screen systematically

Open a plain image, a fine-text document and the actual work application. Look for visible defects, clipped content and touch areas that fail near the edges. Try the on-screen keyboard in portrait and landscape. Record observations with the screen protector and case fitted, since those are part of the deployed assembly.

Track exceptions before approval

Send the supplier a list of mismatches with the sample identifier and the affected requirement. Do not allow a successful application demonstration to erase a missing specification. The current X5 display is 5.3 inches; it should be recorded as a size exception to this request. Approve a matching model, or document a deliberate requirement change before the volume order.
