Rugged Tablet Accessories: Review Changes to Test Evidence

When adding or replacing a tablet accessory, ask whether the existing environmental evidence covers the resulting setup. A report for a bare device is not automatically an approval of every holder, case, connected cable or installed arrangement.

Compare the evaluated and proposed setups

Configuration element Question for the technical reviewer
Tablet revision Is the proposed unit identified by the relevant evidence?
Case or holder Was it fitted during the relevant evaluation?
Connected accessories Were these connections present in the documented operating state?
Installed arrangement Which conditions differ from the reported setup?
Review outcome Does the reviewer accept the evidence or request additional evaluation?

Use a change review rather than an assumed certification

The DLA MIL-STD-810 record describes environmental tailoring based on system requirements. That makes the identified setup and intended conditions important; it does not justify inventing a universal accessory approval from the standard's name.

Keep a manufacturer statement attributed

The N1 listing includes a MIL-STD-810H statement and asks buyers to confirm mounts, power accessories and final configuration. This article does not reproduce its test report or verify that a proposed accessory combination has been evaluated.

Have the responsible technical team record the original configuration, proposed difference, evidence reviewed and decision. Do not improvise drops, immersion or vehicle exposure as a substitute for a defined evaluation. Any new testing should be planned by the appropriate specialists.

Ask Phonemax for configuration-specific information. Accessory availability, environmental coverage and installation suitability remain to be confirmed. No new military certification or environmental test result is claimed.
