For an ODM project, keep a change register between the evaluated prototype and the proposed production configuration. A sample approval is useful only when everyone can identify what was reviewed and what changed afterward.
Give every change an owner and a check
| Change record | Question to answer |
|---|---|
| Starting revision | Which sample and requirement sheet were approved? |
| Proposed difference | What component, enclosure or behaviour changes? |
| Affected task | Which user workflow or fit needs another check? |
| Evidence | Which drawing, sample or test record supports approval? |
| Disposition | Accepted, rejected or still open? |
Do not carry conclusions across an unexplained revision
A changed connector position could affect an accessory fit; a software revision could change a work screen. These are examples of questions to review, not claims that such changes have occurred on a Phonemax device.
If a change affects an environmental requirement, ask which supporting evidence still applies and whether additional evaluation is needed. Avoid treating the original sample's appearance as proof for a revised build.
Keep standard product facts distinct
The published R4-T configuration has a 4.3-inch main display. A 4.5-inch ODM requirement should be submitted as a feasibility request, not presented as a confirmed off-the-shelf variant.
Close the record before release
Link the final approval to the proposed configuration and unresolved exceptions. Agree who can authorize a subsequent change and how the receiving team will recognize the approved revision.
Discuss the proposed ODM requirements with Phonemax. This article supplies a review structure; it does not confirm custom engineering availability, tooling terms, production timing or model test results.
