A construction-site phone should show the approved drawing revision clearly, including when the connection is unavailable. Device durability does not prevent a worker from opening an old PDF or annotating a superseded file. Agree the document process before selecting the hardware.
Make revision identity visible
Use the project's document system and naming rules. A worker should be able to identify the drawing number, revision and issue status without inferring them from a message timestamp. Define who may publish a revision and how the previous copy is identified or withdrawn.

Do not use a local download as an approval signal
A saved file can remain on a phone after a newer version exists elsewhere. Android's offline-first guidance distinguishes local data from network data. The project application must define how updates and conflicts are handled; the operating system's presence does not establish that process.
Use a test document to evaluate the sequence before live deployment. Involve the document controller or application owner in setting the expected result. This guide does not prescribe a construction approval procedure or report a completed software integration.
Check whether the screen fits the document
The R4-T listing specifies a 4.3-inch main display. Test the smallest relevant labels and the amount of zooming needed. A compact phone may suit short checks, while detailed drawing review may require a larger device.
Include document workflow in the device brief
Record the application, file type, typical drawing size, offline requirement and annotation task. Ask the software provider to confirm prerequisites, then discuss the hardware requirements with Phonemax. Review model-specific protection evidence separately from the drawing-management trial.
