OEM Phone Languages: Check the Whole User Workflow

An OEM language requirement should cover the actual setup, keyboard, work app and help instructions. Selecting a system language does not establish that every app, custom screen or printed guide has a complete and usable translation.

List the language surfaces

Surface What to verify
Initial setup The operator can follow the approved first-use process
System interface Required settings are available and understandable
Keyboard Normal names, codes and characters can be entered
Work app Fields, errors and confirmation messages are usable
Instructions The supplied guide matches the delivered build and task

Use a real task with a test account

Ask a suitable reviewer to complete the approved work cycle in the requested language. Check long labels, keyboard overlap, date and number presentation, and whether error messages explain the next step. Record the phone build and app version with each issue.

For right-to-left languages, include text direction and mixed model codes in the review. Do not infer layout quality from one translated menu item.

Keep product availability separate from the request

The R4-T listing specifies Android 14. That fact does not confirm every requested system language, app translation or OEM guide. Ask the supplier and app owner to identify what is available on the proposed build.

Control translated claims

Keep model names, units and qualified protection statements aligned with the approved source. Do not let a shorter translation turn a conditional water-resistance statement into an unlimited promise. The test-report translation guide explains how to retain technical conditions.

Approve a versioned language package

Record the reviewed screens, instructions and unresolved items. Repeat the affected checks after a relevant build or app change.

Send Phonemax the exact languages and user workflow to confirm available options. This article is a proposed localization review; it does not report completed language testing or promise a translation service.
