An “unlocked” description should not replace a model-and-operator suitability check. Ask what the supplier means by unlocked, then verify the offered variant, supported bands and the services required on the intended subscription.
Build a service checklist
| Service | What needs confirmation |
|---|---|
| SIM use | The supplied variant and any stated restriction |
| Voice | Ordinary incoming and outgoing calls under the intended service |
| Data | The work application on the proposed subscription |
| Messaging | Required sending and receiving functions |
| Deployment | Operator and region-specific conditions |
Keep the band list and service approval separate
The current R4-T page publishes supported mobile bands and explicitly cautions that frequency support alone does not confirm carrier approval, VoLTE or emergency-calling availability.
A match in a specification table therefore leaves other questions to resolve. Give the supplier the country and operator rather than asking only whether the phone works worldwide.
Check before switching the working service
Use the exact proposed variant in an agreed trial with ordinary test contacts and a non-sensitive application task. Record the service arrangement and any unresolved function. Do not use emergency numbers for routine testing.
For two subscriptions, use the separate dual-SIM task checklist instead of assuming both lines behave identically.
Ask Phonemax to confirm the offered variant and operator questions. This guide provides no universal unlocking, carrier approval or roaming guarantee, and does not identify a verified 6.3-inch device.
