Rugged Phone Dealer Listings: Keep Model Facts and Claims Traceable

A dealer's rugged-phone listing should connect each specification to the exact model and keep unverified protection claims out of the sales copy. Copying a family brochure into several product listings can assign one device's features to another. Build a model-specific fact card before translating or distributing the description.

Start with a fact card

Field What to retain
Model identity Full name and offered configuration
Source Current product record or approved specification revision
Technical statement The value, unit and feature to which it applies
Protection claim Matching evidence and stated conditions
Unresolved item Question owner and publication hold until clarified

Keep similar model names separate

The current Phonemax R4-T record lists a 4.3-inch main display, a rear display and a 20MP night-vision camera. Those features should not be silently converted into thermal imaging, a main-screen brightness claim or a specification for a different R4-series model.

Retain the units and qualifiers. A number describing the rear display should remain attached to that display. If two sources conflict, ask for clarification instead of choosing the more impressive value.

Review headlines and image captions too

An accurate specification table can still be undermined by an unsupported headline or a graphic saying “unlimited waterproof.” Check the title, comparison image, caption and description against the same fact card. Do not let a translation add a stronger promise than the approved source.

The IEC 60529 listing supplies context for enclosure protection classification. It is not evidence of a particular phone's result. Retain the exact model evidence needed for any protection statement you publish.

Maintain the card after launch

Record which listings use each approved revision so a corrected specification can be applied consistently. Keep unresolved availability, warranty or carrier questions separate from verified hardware facts.

This is a proposed dealer-content process. Request current model information from Phonemax before preparing a new listing; it does not establish dealer authorization or confirm an unlisted specification.
