A stated 5,000 mAh capacity is a starting point for evaluating a thermal phone, not a complete maintenance plan. Field teams also need to know how the battery is charged, how capacity changes over time and what service options exist.
Check charging equipment
Confirm the supplied charger, cable, charging method and any compatible dock. Test charging during the breaks that workers actually have. Observe the device manufacturer's guidance on charging after exposure to water or extreme temperatures.
Plan for aging
Ask how a worn battery is assessed and whether replacement is available for the exact model. Record the support contact and service process before a fleet rollout. Avoid promising the original runtime throughout the entire service life.
Include thermal use
Run the thermal app, screen and communications together during a representative shift. Log charge remaining at handoff and create a reserve for emergencies. The purchasing comparison should include service and charging downtime alongside nominal capacity.
