An OEM brief for a 10000mAh rugged phone should cover the battery pack, charging arrangement and finished enclosure. Capacity alone does not establish the device's dimensions, charging performance or service process.
Control the pack specification
Request rated and typical capacity, nominal voltage, pack identifier and dimensions for the offered configuration. Obtain the applicable transport and compliance documentation for the battery being supplied. Record whether replacement requires an authorized service procedure and how replacement parts will be identified.
Evaluate the finished phone
Test the actual applications, screen settings and network conditions used by the customer. Measure remaining charge after the workload and recharge time with the approved equipment. Check enclosure fit in mounts and holsters, since a larger battery request can affect the complete product design. Use sample measurements rather than assumptions about a future production unit.
Require change approval
Name the battery, charging hardware and firmware in the approved configuration. Agree that material substitutions require review, especially where they affect runtime, charging or enclosure sealing. The current X5 is listed with 5000mAh and should not be relabeled as a 10000mAh OEM model. Confirm whether the supplier can provide the requested pack and finished-device combination. Include service lead times and the replacement process in the project plan before approving a production order. Keep capacity evidence separate from workload results so both can be assessed.
Review the current Phonemax product information when documenting the offered model.
