Before approving a vehicle-mounted work app, test whether an ordinary touch error can submit, delete or complete a job unintentionally. Ruggedness and screen size do not establish the application's confirmation and recovery behavior.
Use a stationary evaluation
Work with a parked, safely secured vehicle or an approved bench arrangement and disposable job data. Use the intended holder orientation and approved gloves if relevant. Do not ask a driver to operate or evaluate the tablet while the vehicle is moving.
| Test action | Observation |
|---|---|
| Touch near the edge of a final-action button | Which action actually occurs? |
| Repeat a touch after a slow response | Does one intended submission create duplicate records? |
| Choose the wrong job action | Is there a clear confirmation or approved recovery route? |
| Return after an interruption | Can the operator tell whether the action already completed? |
Agree on a release decision
Record app version, settings, input equipment and the final server record. Ask the application owner to fix unclear controls or define an acceptable workflow before rollout. These observations do not measure touch performance during vibration or prove compliance with vehicle-operation rules.
The N1 listing describes navigation and digital-roadbook use but does not verify glove behavior, your work app or safe operation of a particular installation. No touch-error trial is reported here.
Review rotation in the proposed mount as a separate layout check. Send Phonemax the intended application and installation requirements.
