60 Hz Thermal Camera: Frame Rate, Display and Export Checks

A “60 Hz” headline may refer to a sensor frame rate, a display refresh rate or a video-output setting. Those numbers can differ. Buyers evaluating moving subjects should first find out which component the specification describes.

Trace the frame pipeline

Request the native thermal sensor rate, on-screen display rate and recorded file rate for the exact configuration. Ask whether any mode uses interpolation or lowers resolution at a higher rate. Check that exported clips retain the detail needed for review.

Test moving targets safely

Capture a repeatable, noncritical moving scene. Compare motion clarity on the device and in the exported file, noting dropped frames or delay. If night-vision capability is part of the claim, identify whether the mode uses infrared thermal sensing, an illuminated camera or another imaging method.

Confirm market availability

Frame-rate options and thermal hardware can vary by product and destination market. Obtain a current specification for the precise unit being quoted and verify the workflow with a sample before publishing a performance claim.
