The 8–14µm entry describes a spectral wavelength range, not a temperature range or detector pixel size. The current P20 Pro thermal graphic lists 8–14µm alongside separate measurement-range, resolution, sensitivity and frame-rate entries.
Keep the units attached to the right field
| Field | P20 Pro manufacturer entry |
|---|---|
| Spectral range | 8–14µm |
| Target temperature measurement range | −15°C to 550°C |
| Thermal resolution | 256 × 192 |
| Thermal sensitivity | NETD ≤50mK |
Verify the offered optical configuration
Ask for the module and lens documentation for the actual phone. If the installation adds a cover, window or other material in the optical path, obtain compatibility information for that complete arrangement rather than assuming the original module statement is enough.
Do not infer a different camera class
A wavelength label does not establish medical suitability, chemical identification, detection distance or performance through a particular material. Those tasks need their own evidence and application review.
Use the specification to ask a better question
Describe what you need to image, the environment and any material between the camera and target. Have the supplier demonstrate the intended arrangement and explain its limitations. Keep the spectral requirement separate from the temperature-measurement acceptance criteria.
Source and scope
P20 Pro product specifications and its thermal specification graphic. This is an explanation of the manufacturer's entries, not an independent spectral-response test or a statement that all thermal cameras share the same wavelength range.
