10,000mAh Rugged Phone Sourcing: Battery Documents to Request

When a project requires a 10,000mAh rugged phone, a supplier's general “long battery life” claim is not enough. The purchasing record should identify the exact handset configuration, the battery's rated capacity and a repeatable runtime test. This matters especially when a supplier offers several memory, radio or battery variants under a similar product name.

Identify the exact 10,000mAh configuration

Ask for a dated specification sheet that names the model, variant or SKU and the battery capacity in mAh and Wh. Confirm whether the quoted capacity is the rated or typical figure and whether the battery is built into the handset being offered. Match the document to the sample, purchase order and carton label. If a supplier proposes a changed cell or housing for an OEM project, ask whether the finished device has been retested after that change.

Request evidence that relates to the finished phone

For battery performance, obtain the test method, screen brightness, network mode, app workload, ambient temperature and measured duration. A cell data sheet alone describes a component; it does not prove how long the assembled phone will last. For shipping, ask the supplier and carrier which battery transport documents apply to the exact pack and shipment. Do not substitute a marketing screenshot for a model-specific report.

Run a work-shift acceptance test

1. Charge the sample to the same starting level and record its SKU and software version.
2. Use the intended mix of calls, location, camera, data and work apps under a representative network signal.
3. Record screen brightness, start and end battery percentage, charging breaks and the length of the shift.
4. Repeat on at least two shifts if radio conditions vary; compare the result with the project's minimum remaining charge.

Capacity alone cannot predict runtime across different chipsets, screen sizes and software. A 10,000mAh minimum is a hardware requirement; the shift test is a separate operational requirement.

Phonemax model reference

The current Phonemax X5 listing states a 5,000mAh battery, 5.3-inch display and 4G connectivity. It can be used as a compact comparison point, but it does not meet a strict 10,000mAh capacity requirement. If that figure is mandatory, request a separate model and its documents before placing the order.
