A large-screen device used in a holder must remain usable with its required protection arrangement. A 7-inch IP68 request should assess the enclosure and accessories together.
Review documentation
Ask for the offered model's diagonal, resolution and ingress evidence. Record required closure positions and manufacturer care instructions. Do not infer universal liquid or pressure-cleaning resistance from an IP description.
Inspect accessory access
Fit the intended holder and case. Check whether covers can close properly, buttons remain reachable and connectors can be inspected. Trial the actual application view and charging arrangement according to the supplied instructions.
Use X5 only as an alternative
Current X5 information supports a 5.3-inch IP68 phone under specified laboratory conditions. It is not evidence of a 7-inch configuration. If a compact option is acceptable, document that change and trial its own assembly. Otherwise obtain a matching model. Preserve holder, case and device identifiers so later accessories do not inherit an unsupported fit or protection assumption.
