Before replacing an existing phone with a keypad model, verify that important contacts can be found and used on the new setup. A transfer count alone may miss a wrong number, a missing second number or an unexpected account location.
Identify the source before exporting
Determine whether the source contacts are held in an account, phone storage or on a SIM. Keep the existing phone and a backup available until the transfer has been checked. Do not erase the source as part of the first trial.
Google's Android Contacts guidance documents export to a .VCF file and notes that restore behaviour varies by phone and Android version. These instructions do not prove that a particular keypad phone offers the same app or menus.
Inspect representative entries
| Contact example | What to check |
|---|---|
| Several numbers | Each number and its label remain identifiable |
| Long or accented name | Search and displayed text are usable |
| International number | The intended number is preserved |
| Similar names | The correct person can be selected |
Keep migration separate from the mobile-service and application checks for the new phone.
Test the actual hybrid-phone interface
The current F3-T is described as an Android-based feature phone with physical keys and a touchscreen. This does not guarantee a particular Google app, transfer method or account service on the supplied configuration.
Confirm the proposed transfer route, then test search, number selection and a normal call with an agreed test contact. Check duplicates before making bulk changes.
Ask Phonemax which contact-transfer options the supplied version supports. A model's 4G description and enclosure claims do not establish contact migration compatibility. No completed migration is reported here.
